Clydebanks Image

One of the the aim's of Clydebank re-built is to improve the image of the town.  With the loss of the shipyards and Singers, Clydebank has often been perceived in recent years as a place with few opportunities for businesses and employment - and as having a poor quality of life.

These preconceptions aren't necessarily true - people who live and work here see Clydebank in a much more positive light.  That means tackling preconceptions head-on, through our regeneration projects, events, publications and promotional activities. We've also commissioned striking new banners and road signs to let people know they've arrived in the Town and improved the central reservation all the way from Yoker through to Solidarity Plaza.

Lighting projects at all six railway bridges, red and green, through Clydebank have been voted a real success and a great improvement to security at night. The lighting at the east end flats and more recently at Abbotsford Church and the Titan  (seen from aeroplanes on the flighpath into Glasgow Airport) mean that there are now many illuminated landmark buildings around the Town which are beacons of Clydebank's renaissance.

Various awards for design secured at Scottish and UK level have resulted in Clydebank being quoted in many national papers and journals and the profile of the Town as a place 'on the up' can only be good for investment.
