As part of the Public Realm improvements Clydebank re-built developed a strategy for Art in Clydebank's Public Places. It sets ways integrating artworks, in various forms, within the physical regeneration of the Town and its riverside.
The Strategy was launched at one of Clydebank re-built's Design
Forums in September 2004. At that event community representatives
were given the opportunity to take part in workshop sessions to
comment on the role artworks can play in Clydebank's regeneration
and on the illustrative programme proposed.
This strategy was guided by a working group made up of
representatives from relevant West Dunbartonshire Council
Departments, West Dunbartonshire Heritage Ltd, West Dunbartonshire
Arts Council, and West Dunbartonshire Partnership (SPARC).
Clydebank re-built is now delivering this programme in partnership with a range of other organisations including West Dunbartonshire Council and Clydebank school children.
